According to chart prediction site Talk of the Chart, "Golden" is highly likely to climb from its current No. 2 position to the top of the chart. In addition, other OST tracks from "K-Pop Demon Hunters" are also expected to break into the upper ranks of the chart, further heightening fans' anticipation. "Your Idol" by Saja Boys is expected to jump to No. 6, "Soda Pop" to No. 13, and "How It's Done" performed by Huntlix to No. 17.

Released on Netflix on June 20, "K-Pop Demon Hunters" has sparked a global phenomenon, ranking No. 1 in box office performance in 22 countries?including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, and France?immediately after its release, despite being an animated film. As of August 6, the film had accumulated 158.8 million views and 264.6 million hours of viewing time, placing it fourth in Netflix's all-time movie rankings.

The OST album also made history by ranking No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the main Billboard album chart, surpassing Blackpink and setting a new milestone for K-pop OSTs. In particular, "Golden" reached No. 1 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, becoming the first K-pop song to do so in 13 years, setting a new record since Psy's "Gangnam Style." The Official Charts Company highlighted the explosive popularity of "Golden," stating that "Netflix's 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' has become a 'phenomenon.'"

This work, which creatively combines traditional Korean occult elements with K-pop culture, is receiving unprecedented attention, especially in North America. According to Google Trends, searches for "K-Pop Demon Hunters" by YouTube users in the United States and Canada have surged since July, consistently ranking among the top trending search terms in the arts and entertainment category.

If "Golden" does indeed reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart, it is expected to become the first case in which a K-pop and animation OST achieves simultaneous global success.
