Opportunities for Entry and Preferential Commission Rates Through In-Person Evaluation
Applications Accepted via Website Until September 12
The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on August 10 that it is accepting applications for participation in a product evaluation event to select companies for entry into both online and offline distribution channels.
The distribution channels participating in the product evaluation event for the second half of 2025 include the five major department stores (Galleria, Lotte, Shinsegae, Hyundai, and AK), as well as Lotte Mart, E-Mart, Homeplus, 11st, Lotte Shopping e-Commerce, Woowa Brothers, Korea Post Shopping, Coupang, and Home&Shopping, totaling 14 companies. The event is open to domestic consumer goods manufacturing SMEs, and all product categories except for large home appliances and furniture are eligible.
SMEs that pass the document screening will have the opportunity to participate in collaborative business initiatives, such as entering distribution channels, through in-person evaluations by specialized MDs in each field at the product evaluation event. SMEs that enter distribution channels through the event will receive benefits such as preferential commission rates and entry into SME-exclusive sales spaces.
The application period for document submission runs from August 11 to September 12. Applications and document submissions can be made through the Korea Federation of SMEs website.
Son Sungwon, Director of the Small Business Policy Office at the Korea Federation of SMEs, stated, "This product evaluation event serves as an opportunity for distribution experts to discover outstanding products from SMEs and connect them with actual entry opportunities," and added, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with large distribution companies and provide practical support to help competitive SME products gain wider market recognition and expand their sales channels."
