The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office announced on August 8 that, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, it visited the spouses of independence patriots residing in Buk-gu and provided traditional Korean medicine treatment in collaboration with Gwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital.

Director Kim Seokgi stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the footsteps of independence patriots, who took bold steps for the liberation of our country during a dark era, are remembered by future generations."

Yeom Seungcheol, director of Gwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, also added, "As I have taken on the role of primary physician for the spouses of independence patriots, I will do my best to safeguard each individual's health with attentive care."

Meanwhile, since March, Gwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital has been providing traditional Korean medicine treatment to five spouses of independence patriots in succession. The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs is supporting the honor and welfare of national patriots and their families through the nationwide participatory donation project, 'Moduui Bohun Dream.'
