Korea Housing Finance Corporation Signs Agreement with Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy to Address Low Birthrate Crisis

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (President Kim Kyunghwan) signed a business agreement with the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy (Vice Chair Joo Hyunghwan) on the 8th at the Government Seoul Office in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to jointly respond to the low birthrate crisis through homeownership.

This agreement was promoted to expand social consensus on the low birthrate issue and to address the crisis through effective housing finance support. Through this agreement, the corporation plans not only to expand housing finance support but also to take the lead in fostering a family-friendly corporate culture.


The two organizations plan to pursue practical cooperation tasks through the agreement, including: expanding housing finance support to address the low birthrate issue; operating and expanding family-friendly systems to promote work-life balance; and identifying joint policy tasks to respond to the low birthrate crisis.


Kim Kyunghwan, President of Korea Housing Finance Corporation, said, "We will strengthen housing finance support for newlyweds and households with multiple children to help solve the low birthrate problem," adding, "We will continue to carry out various promotional activities in cooperation with relevant government agencies."
