On August 8, Neowiz announced in a regulatory filing that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter of this year was 18.6 billion won, up 291.8% compared to the same period last year. Revenue reached 110 billion won, an increase of 26.4% over the same period, and net profit also expanded by 66.4% to 12.8 billion won.

In particular, revenue from PC and console games reached 57.5 billion won, up 54.3% year-on-year, contributing significantly to the strong results. Compared to the previous quarter, this figure increased by 57.8%.

The main driver was the popularity of the downloadable content (DLC) "Lies of P: Prologue," following the main title "Lies of P." The company explained, "The launch of the DLC attracted new users, which also led to increased sales of the main title," adding, "As of June, the cumulative sales of the main title and DLC combined surpassed 3 million units, and revenue nearly tripled compared to the previous quarter, confirming the franchise's intellectual property (IP) value." Additionally, new content for the rhythm game "DJMAX Respect V" also supported the results.

On the other hand, revenue from mobile games, including "BrownDust2," amounted to 44 billion won, growing by only 9.3% year-on-year. Compared to the first quarter, it decreased by 2.9%. While "BrownDust2" achieved record-high sales and traffic due to its second-anniversary event, it was affected by a decline in mobile game revenue from subsidiaries.

Neowiz plans to enhance the value of its core IPs and expand user engagement in the second half of the year. "Lies of P" will be offered as a free game for PlayStation Plus in August. The company will also accelerate the development of new PC and console titles, led by its Round8 Studio.

"DJMAX Respect V" will focus on strengthening its music IP, including hosting the "DJMAX Miracle 2025" concert. "BrownDust2" will participate in major domestic and international gaming events to engage with its fanbase and is scheduled to launch a Steam PC version in December.

In the publishing sector, Neowiz aims to target the global market with major indie games. Three titles?"Shape of Dreams," "Hello Seoul: Itaewon Edition," and "Kill the Shadow"?are set for release in the second half of this year. The company will also use events such as Gamescom in Germany, starting on August 20, to build momentum for these launches.
