Hanmi’s 'Hanmi Love Blood Donation' campaign began in 1980, when the group’s late founder, Lim Sungki, personally participated in the opening of the 'House of Blood Donation' at Seoul City Hall Station. This marks the campaign’s 45th year, making it the longest-running public interest campaign in the pharmaceutical industry. It is now held twice a year as a regular campaign, once in the first half and once in the second half.

During his lifetime, Chairman Lim emphasized his deep affection for the blood donation campaign, stating, "Willingly sharing my own blood for patients is the very act that perfectly aligns with a pharmaceutical company's fundamental mission to contribute to humanity."

Over the past 45 years, more than 10,000 Hanmi Group executives and employees have participated in the Love Blood Donation campaign. By the first half of this year, approximately 4,000 blood donation certificates had been donated to patient organizations. Based on an average of 320cc of blood donated per person, a total of 3,383,360cc of blood has been collected to date.

Recently, the campaign has gone a step further, with employees handcrafting and donating 100 Hickman pouches for pediatric cancer patients to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation. Hickman pouches are essential accessories used to protect and hygienically manage the central venous catheter (Hickman catheter) in children undergoing cancer treatment.

A Hanmi Group representative stated, "The Love Blood Donation campaign is a representative activity that puts into practice the late Chairman Lim Sungki’s philosophy of 'respect for humanity' and 'value creation.' We will continue to realize the value of respect for life through regular blood donation campaigns and a variety of other sharing activities."
