"As a Patriot, I Will Do What Is Right"
Dean Cain, the American actor who became known for his role as Superman, has announced that he will join the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as an agent. Expressing his support for President Donald Trump's immigration policies, he stated, "As a patriot, I will do what is right."

According to CNN on August 7 (local time), Cain, who played Superman in the 1990s TV series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," revealed in a Fox News interview the previous day that he will soon be officially sworn in as an ICE agent.
In the interview with Fox News, Cain said, "I am already a deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer," adding, "I have spoken with ICE officials, and I will soon be sworn in as an agent."
Cain's announcement about joining ICE comes as the Trump administration is intensifying immigration enforcement, with hundreds of immigrants being arrested nationwide each day. Known for his conservative views, Cain emphasized, "This country was built by patriots who did the right thing," and added, "I believe we are still doing the right thing."
He also described the U.S. immigration system as "broken," saying, "Congress needs to reform it, but for now, what can be done is to implement the policies President Trump promised. President Trump is making this happen, and I support him and will join in."
Meanwhile, according to a CNN analysis of ICE data, the agency's enforcement methods differ significantly depending on the political leanings of each state.
In Republican-leaning states that supported Trump, ICE primarily arrested immigrants in jails or detention centers, while in Democratic-leaning states, arrests more often took place on the streets, at workplaces, or through large-scale operations. In some cities, such as Los Angeles (LA), there was fierce backlash, and most of those arrested were found to have no criminal record.
Overall, ICE has made more arrests in conservative states than in progressive states, with a particularly high proportion of arrests taking place in jails and detention centers.
