[Tomorrow's Weather] Daytime Highs Up to 33 Degrees... A Cloudy and Hot Day

Rain or Showers Expected in Some Areas
Intense Heatwave Above 35 Degrees Eases Slightly

On Friday the 8th, the intense heatwave that had pushed temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius will ease somewhat, but daytime highs are still expected to reach around 30 degrees Celsius, so the muggy heat will continue.

Skies will be mostly cloudy nationwide, gradually becoming overcast from the afternoon. On Jeju Island, cloudy conditions and 5 to 40 mm of rain are forecast over the two days starting from the 7th. In the mountainous areas and east coast of Gangwon, as well as the northeastern mountains and northern east coast of North Gyeongsang, showers are expected from the afternoon into the evening, with anticipated rainfall of up to around 20 mm.

Morning temperatures will range from 19 to 25 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius, which is similar to the seasonal average. In areas where it rains, the heat will temporarily subside; however, due to the high humidity, the apparent temperature is still expected to rise above 31 degrees Celsius.

Air quality will be relatively good. Fine dust concentrations nationwide are expected to remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels.

At sea, waves of 0.5 to 1.5 meters are expected off the east and south coasts, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters off the west coast, while offshore, wave heights may reach up to 2.0 meters in all seas. Special caution is advised for safety accidents caused by swells along the southern coast and the coast of Jeju Island.
