The first part of the ceremony will take place in the district office's main auditorium. It will begin with an award ceremony recognizing independence patriots, followed by a sand art performance reenacting the moment of liberation, and vocal performances including the theme song from the musical "Hero," the "Independence Army Song," and "Beautiful Country." These performances are intended to express gratitude for the noble sacrifices made and to convey hope for the future.

At the end of the event, all participants will sing the Liberation Day song together and wave the Taegeukgi, chanting "manse" three times to share the joy of liberation. The "manse" chant will be led by North Korean defectors, youth, and descendants of independence patriots, with representatives from various sectors initiating the chant.

The second part of the event will continue with a participatory ceremony on the lawn plaza in front of the district office, where a "Taegeukgi Tree Street" will be created. Residents will personally hang Taegeukgi flags on trees to celebrate liberation, and a "Taegeuk Lantern Path" will be set up along the walkway, allowing visitors to naturally experience the significance of liberation.

Bae Kyungsook, head of Gangdong District's Welfare Policy Division, stated, "This event will be an opportunity for local residents to share the joy of liberation and strengthen their love for the country," adding, "We hope it will serve as a moment to reflect on the spirit of independence and to carry on its legacy."
