It has been reported that a complaint was filed asking for caution after a 119 ambulance, dispatched to transport a patient, allegedly damaged the lawn in an apartment complex. This has sparked outrage among online users.
On August 5, a screenshot of a group KakaoTalk chat containing this information was posted on an online community. The message in the photo, believed to have been written by a resident of the apartment complex, included a notice related to the complaint about the issue.
The message stated, "In July, a complaint was received that an ambulance damaged the lawn at the entrance of the apartment during a patient transport. This matter has been resolved well in consultation with the management office. However, to prevent similar complaints from arising during future dispatches or patient transports, please pay extra attention and be mindful of the surroundings while carrying out emergency activities."
Users of the online community who saw this responded with comments such as, "Would they say the same if it were their own family?", "From now on, I hope ambulances in that apartment complex strictly follow the parking lines and move slowly," and "I don't know when the world became so lacking in compassion."
Meanwhile, in 2023, a similar complaint was filed at another apartment complex in Gyeonggi Province, also causing public outrage. Because a fire station was located across from the complex, frequent dispatches led to complaints about loud sirens. Some residents reportedly argued, "If we designate the fire station as an undesirable facility, maybe our demands will be accepted."
