Throughout this month, the events will include a nationwide sharing campaign called "Searching for Gwangbok-i," during which 10,000 Mugunghwa plants will be distributed to visitors, as well as exhibitions and events planned around the Mugunghwa theme.

The Baekdudaegan National Arboretum, located in Bonghwa County, North Gyeongsang Province, will host a special Mugunghwa exhibition titled "Not Knowing It Was a Flower Blooming in the Night Sky" at its Visitor Center and Mugunghwa Garden. The exhibition is designed to shed new light on the Mugunghwa as a symbol of the sacrifices made by independence activists and the suffering of the Korean people. The event will also feature a "Find My Mugunghwa for Fun" activity, which connects individual MBTI personality types with Mugunghwa varieties.

On August 15, Liberation Day itself, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of cultural events related to Liberation Day, including the "Visiting Talk Healing Concert" hosted by the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation and a screening of the film "I Can Speak."

At the Sejong National Arboretum in Sejong City, the "Our Flower, the Path of Mugunghwa" exhibition will be held until the 17th, showcasing over 80 varieties of Mugunghwa in one place. In addition, from the 14th to the 17th, the "80th Anniversary of Liberation National Flower Mugunghwa Grand Festival," hosted by the Korea Forest Service, will take place, offering visitors the chance to see more than 1,000 potted Mugunghwa entries from across the country.

In particular, on the evening of the 14th, a large-scale drone show depicting the Mugunghwa is scheduled. During the festival, Sejong National Arboretum will also offer a variety of cultural experiences and educational programs, including pinwheel making, fan decorating, and a healing musical.

The Korea National Arboretum of Native Plants, located in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, will host an event from the 9th to the 17th in conjunction with the Summer Flower Festival, displaying potted Mugunghwa plants received from the Hongcheon Mugunghwa Arboretum and offering commemorative gifts to visitors who complete a self-guided mission.

Shim Sangtaek, Director of KNAGS, stated, "The Mugunghwa symbolizes the identity, history, and enduring vitality of our people," and added, "We hope this event will serve as a cultural space to reflect on the pains of the past and the peace of today, and to convey the meaning of Liberation to future generations."
