On August 6, at Pine Hills Country Club (par 72, 6,813 yards) in Suncheon, Jeonnam, Baek shot a 3-under-par 69 in the final second round of the tournament. With a total score of 8-under-par 136, Baek finished one stroke ahead of runner-up Sangyeon Yoon (Seoul Automotive High School, 7-under-par 137) to claim the title. Seungkyung Baek was awarded special eligibility for KPGA professional membership, while Sangyeon Yoon received two exemptions for the professional qualifying rounds. Baek said, "It rained throughout the tournament, so it wasn't easy to play," and added, "I tried to focus more than usual."
This tournament brought together 120 middle and high school players, who competed in a 36-hole stroke play format to determine the winner. Baekjun Kim, winner of this year's KPGA Tour season opener, the 20th DB Insurance Promy Open, was the inaugural champion of this event in 2020.
