Chosun University AI·SW Education Center announced on the 6th that it had successfully concluded the 'AI·SW Creative Convergence Coding Camp' in collaboration with Salesio Girls' High School.
This camp, held as part of the 'High School AI Club Support' initiative, was conducted under the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the two schools in March 2022. It was designed to foster AI·SW talent required for future new industries through AI·SW-based curriculum integration.
The camp took place over two days, from July 28 to 29, in the AI lab of Salesio Girls' High School, which is recognized as a leading AI education school in Gwangju Metropolitan City. The event was attended by Professor Jo Youngjoo from Chosun University AI·SW Education Center, as well as student assistants Won Dahoon, Jo Yunseong, and Shin Subin from the Department of Computer Engineering.
The program included modules such as ▲Understanding and Utilizing AI ▲Curriculum-Linked AI·SW Education ▲AI Robot D.I.Y & Coding ▲AI Ethics ▲Autonomous Vehicle Production. These hands-on, experience-based activities enhanced student engagement and learning outcomes.
Professor Jo Youngjoo of Chosun University stated, "I hope this camp has enabled students to enjoyably understand AI·SW and provided an opportunity to expand this knowledge into social value," adding, "I also expect it has brought about positive changes in their career planning and future goals."
Kim Sohee, a teacher at Salesio Girls' High School, said, "As a leading school in AI education, Chosun University's AI·SW education program has been a great help in establishing an AI convergence education model that meets the demands of the times."
