Samsung Electronics will collaborate with a variety of game companies to set up a large exhibition space where visitors can experience games using its latest products, including the glasses-free 3D gaming monitor 'Odyssey 3D' and the 'Galaxy Z Fold7.' Through partnerships with various game titles, the company plans to offer an integrated gaming experience that combines mobile, PC, and console platforms.
From the 22nd to the 23rd (local time), Samsung Electronics will host a user experience event called 'The World of #PlayGalaxy' at Dock2, a venue located in the center of Cologne. Dock2 is about a 10-minute walk from the Gamescom exhibition hall, and Samsung Electronics will operate a shuttle bus between the exhibition hall and Dock2 for the convenience of visitors.
At Dock2, visitors will be able to experience the performance, large screen, and display features of Galaxy devices through a variety of game titles. The glasses-free 3D gaming monitor 'Odyssey 3D,' which was released in March, will also be showcased alongside Netmarble's new title 'MonGil: Star Dive (STAR DIVE).' This game is a collection-based action RPG for both PC and mobile multi-platforms, and visitors can experience a user interface (UI) optimized for the 8.0-inch (203.1 mm) large screen when the Galaxy Z Fold7 is unfolded.
With the Odyssey 3D, visitors can also enjoy the PC version of MonGil: Star Dive in a 3D environment. The Odyssey 3D is a monitor that enables 3D gaming without the need for 3D glasses, featuring eye-tracking and screen mapping technologies. Samsung Electronics supported optimization through collaboration with Netmarble, applying customized 3D stereoscopic effects tailored to the characteristics of the game's characters, backgrounds, and scenes.
Meanwhile, on the 22nd, a panel discussion will be held with Samsung Electronics, Google, Qualcomm, and others. Experts from each partner company will introduce how they are collaborating to provide gaming experiences for Galaxy users. On the 23rd, Samsung Electronics will host a mobile game tournament.
