Hyundai AutoEver and Korea Airports Corporation Sign Business Agreement
Enhancing Parking Services and Convenience for Airport Users
Hyundai AutoEver is partnering with Korea Airports Corporation to enhance mobility convenience for domestic airport users. The company will build indoor parking lot maps for major domestic airports such as Gimpo and Gimhae, and provide parking guidance services through Hyundai and Kia navigation systems.
On August 6, Hyundai AutoEver announced that it had signed a "Business Agreement for Parking Services and Convenience for Airport Users" with Korea Airports Corporation. Korea Airports Corporation manages 14 airports nationwide, excluding Incheon International Airport.
The two companies plan to prioritize the creation of indoor parking lot maps for five airports: Gimpo, Gimhae, Cheongju, Daegu, and Jeju. Based on the maps it secures, Hyundai AutoEver will launch a service that guides airport users to indoor parking lots. This service will be available through the in-car navigation systems of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.
In addition to indoor parking lot guidance, Hyundai AutoEver and Korea Airports Corporation will develop various other services. For example, users will be able to set specific parking zones as their destination via their in-car navigation, and if a chosen zone is full, the system will direct them to the nearest available parking space.
At the end of last year, Hyundai AutoEver also signed a business agreement with Incheon International Airport Corporation for indoor parking lot guidance. Currently, Hyundai AutoEver provides indoor parking lot map services for Terminal 1 (T1) of Incheon International Airport, and plans to expand to Terminal 2 (T2) by the end of this year.
Seodong Kwon, Head of Navigation Business Division at Hyundai AutoEver, emphasized, "Based on the navigation software technology Hyundai AutoEver has accumulated over the past 20 years, we will provide differentiated services to customers using airport parking lots in Korea."
