Governor Park stated, "The Woongsan area of Yangsan has the greatest development potential in all of South Gyeongsang Province," and added, "The provincial government will actively support Yangsan so that it can become a truly outstanding city equipped with comprehensive infrastructure for transportation, industry, and cultural welfare."
He continued, "As the city has grown rapidly, there have been some shortages in daily convenience facilities, but we are planning to expand various facilities such as sports centers in the area."
He emphasized, "Once these facilities are established, Yangsan will be a city that can stand proudly anywhere," and reiterated, "The provincial government will actively participate as well."
Governor Park also mentioned the Busan?Yangsan?Ulsan metropolitan railway construction project, which passed the preliminary feasibility study by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in July and will add three new stations in the Yangsan area.
He explained, "The Busan?Yangsan?Ulsan metropolitan railway is a core axis of the daily economy connecting Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang Province," and added, "Through its connection with the urban railway, daily convenience for commuting, school, and hospital visits will be greatly improved, and metropolitan accessibility will be dramatically enhanced."
He pledged, "We will reflect the opinions of provincial residents as much as possible and will promptly consult with related agencies as well as members of the National Assembly from Busan and Ulsan to push for early construction."

On this day, residents proposed not only the early construction of the Busan?Yangsan?Ulsan metropolitan railway but also ▲ entrusting the Hoiya District 5 river disaster prevention project to the city ▲ expediting the construction of the Eastern Administrative Town fire station ▲ supporting the creation of the Yangsan Arboretum ▲ supporting the development of a cultural tourism belt in the Yongdang Historic District.
Governor Park said, "We will thoroughly review the suggestions made on site to ensure they lead to practical improvements," and added, "We will make South Gyeongsang Province a place where everyone lives with hope through policies that residents can truly feel."
Prior to the meeting, Governor Park visited the Daewoonsan Ecological Forest in Yongdang-dong, Yangsan City, to inspect the site for the "Yangsan Arboretum" and personally checked the "Soopaeseo" healing experience center, a facility for anti-aging and healing.
"Soopaeseo" is a forest recreation facility offering various healing programs, including exercise therapy and water therapy rooms, and was visited by 20,000 people last year.
The Yangsan Arboretum is being developed as a forest recreation and welfare space linked to the natural environment of Daewoonsan and nearby tourism resources, with completion targeted for 2028.
Governor Park stated, "In an era where demand for health and healing is increasing, forest recreation is an important tourism resource," and added, "We will strive to make Daewoonsan a renowned healing destination for both provincial residents and people nationwide."
