Masan-Sani Local Road No. 806 Four-Lane Expansion Project
Design Changed from 2.3 km to 5.7 km at Residents' Request
Park: "We Will Make Every Effort to Reflect Local Residents' Opinions"
Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Haenam, Wando, and Jindo in South Jeolla Province, has responded to local residents' requests regarding the four-lane expansion project of Local Road No. 806 between Masan and Sani in Haenam County, South Jeolla Province, and has successfully negotiated the addition of a dedicated road for agricultural machinery.
According to Park's office on August 5, Park received a request from local residents for the installation of an agricultural machinery road on July 11. Subsequently, on July 30, he held a meeting at his Haenam district office with officials from the South Jeolla Provincial Government, Haenam County Office, the supervisory team, and village leaders to discuss the matter.

Following the meeting, Haenam County held a resident briefing session for village leaders at Masanmyeon Office at 10:00 a.m. on the same day. With unanimous consent from all attendees, the decision to add an agricultural machinery road was officially confirmed.
As a result of this decision, South Jeolla Province and Haenam County will extend the originally planned 2.3 km agricultural machinery road to 5.7 km, and will install a total of 9.7 km of agricultural machinery roads, including acceleration and deceleration lanes. This is expected to require additional funding on the scale of several billion won. In addition, eight intersections to be installed on the four-lane road will be further reviewed to minimize inconvenience for local residents.
The Masan-Sani local road expansion project was finalized seven years ago, but the design was revised to better reflect local needs after actively incorporating residents' opinions prior to construction. Once completed, the project is expected to improve accessibility between Solaseado and Haenam-eup, promote balanced regional development, and significantly enhance transportation convenience for residents in Haenam's major agricultural areas.
A representative from Park's office stated, "We will continue to make every effort to ensure that local residents' opinions are fully reflected in the future."
