Korea Citibank Launches Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Risk Seminar for Corporate Clients

'Corporate Derivatives Solutions Seminar'
to Be Held on September 11

Korea Citibank recently announced the launch of a new seminar aimed at strengthening corporate clients' capabilities in managing foreign exchange and interest rate risks, in response to increasing uncertainties in the global economic and financial environment.

Beyond simply responding to foreign exchange risks, the current market is characterized by multiple trade, economic, and financial risks occurring simultaneously, highlighting the need for more systematic and advanced education. In fact, complex factors in the global economy?such as the US-China trade dispute, global interest rate fluctuations, sharp changes in exchange rates, and geopolitical risks?are having an increasingly significant impact on companies' business strategies and financial planning.

Korea Citibank will newly host the 'Corporate Derivatives Solutions Seminar' on September 11, targeting key decision-makers, including executives of corporate clients, to address foreign exchange and interest rate risk management. Korea Citibank has successfully conducted FX workshops focused on simulation and hands-on training for over 30 years for foreign exchange practitioners. Starting this year, the bank will additionally hold seminars for decision-makers at the managerial level or higher, who are responsible for risk management, to provide strategies for responding to foreign exchange and interest rate risks tailored to the needs of corporate clients.

This seminar will feature exchanges with internal and external market experts on topics such as recent trends and outlooks in the foreign exchange and interest rate markets, the nature and key checkpoints of exchange rate and interest rate fluctuation risks, methods for establishing response strategies for major risk scenarios, strategies for utilizing derivatives and analysis of response cases, and directions for foreign exchange and interest rate risk management policies.

Um Ji-yong, Deputy President of the Capital Markets Group at Korea Citibank, stated, "In a rapidly changing financial environment, companies' exposure to foreign exchange and interest rate risks is increasing. Since each company has a different risk structure and response strategy, we focused on designing customized solutions and practical risk management rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. We hope this strategic seminar will provide a meaningful opportunity for in-depth exchanges among decision-makers and for developing tailored response strategies in the complex global risk environment."

Participation in the seminar is available through pre-registration. Companies wishing to attend can contact the Corporate Foreign Exchange Sales Division at Korea Citibank for detailed information.
