Introduction of the High-Performance Tire 'EV Route' Mark
Nexen Tire announced on August 5 that it has launched the 'N'Fera Supreme EV Route', a tire that can be fitted to both electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles.
This product is an upgraded version of the premium comfort tire 'N'Fera Supreme', enhanced with high load-bearing and low-noise technology. It is capable of supporting the heavy battery loads of electric vehicles and features sound-absorbing materials to reduce road noise.
The tire tread is designed in a square shape and incorporates Nexen Tire's unique '3D Kerf' technology, which increases the contact area with the road. This allows for stable handling and braking performance in all seasons.
Nexen Tire confirmed through real vehicle tests on the Kia EV6 that the overall performance of the new product has improved compared to previous models. The tire recorded excellent results in key categories such as wet braking and handling, dry braking, and noise during driving. In particular, dry handling and ride comfort improved by 13%, while rolling resistance improved by approximately 20%.
Additionally, Nexen Tire has introduced a dedicated 'EV Route' mark starting in the second half of the year. This mark is awarded only to products that meet high-performance standards suitable for both internal combustion engine vehicles and high-powered electric vehicles. Nexen Tire plans to apply this mark to future new products as well, establishing it as a brand standard that guarantees excellent performance.
A Nexen Tire representative stated, "EV Route is not simply a mark for electric vehicles, but a symbol of our high-performance product philosophy designed to encompass both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles with a single tire," adding, "We will continue to expand our product lineup to break down the boundaries between vehicle types and ensure that all consumers can enjoy the highest level of performance."
