INNOBIZ Association Leads Digitalization of Indonesian Manufacturing

Indonesian Ministry of Industry Delegation Visits Korea
Experience of Domestic Smart Factory Sites

The Korea Association of Small and Medium Business Technology Innovation (INNOBIZ Association) announced on August 4 that it had held an interim report meeting for the "Development of a Smart Factory Roadmap for the Digitalization of Manufacturing in Indonesia."


The report meeting, held at the association's conference room in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, was part of the "2025 Trade-Linked Economic Cooperation Project" led by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

The meeting was attended by Andi Rizaldi, Director General of the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Policy Services (BSKJI) under the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, as well as officials from the Directorate General of International Industrial Access and the Directorate General of Food and Electronics. On the Korean side, representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, KOTRA, INNOBIZ Association, and Korea Management Association Consulting participated.


After this meeting, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry delegation will participate in a policy training program focused on domestic smart factory sites from August 5 to 8.


The delegation plans to visit POSCO, CJ CheilJedang, Korea Yakult, Cosmax Bio, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, and Gyeonggi Technopark to directly experience Korea's smart manufacturing infrastructure and digital technology application cases.


Kim Hyungyoung, Executive Vice Chairman of the INNOBIZ Association, stated, "Indonesia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia with the largest manufacturing base and has great potential to further strengthen its global competitiveness through digital transformation. We hope that various follow-up cooperation projects, such as smart factory process improvement and technology transfer, will expand into practical cooperation between the two countries in the future."
