Haman County Holds Executive Meeting, Urges Active Participation in Hometown Love Donations

Strengthening Public Service Discipline and Disaster Preparedness During Summer Vacation Season

On the morning of August 4, the Haman County Office held the August executive meeting in the main conference room on the third floor of the county office annex.

First, County Governor Cho Geunje urged active participation in the Hometown Love Donation campaign.

Haman County is carrying out various events and promotional activities, such as the 'Designated Donation Project Idea Proposal Contest' for specific purpose projects, the establishment of a Hall of Fame for major donors, and the promotion of mutual cross-donations. This year, the donation target amount has also been raised from previous years and set at 500 million won.

In this regard, Governor Cho stated, "For departments where projects have been suspended due to difficulties in securing national or provincial budgets, or where urgent project implementation is needed, please actively participate in the idea proposal contest for designated donation projects."

He also asked employees to personally participate in donations in order to maximize the effects of the Hometown Love Donation System, which aims to promote regional coexistence, improve residents' welfare, and revitalize the local economy by providing local specialty products as return gifts.

Next, he ordered thorough preparation for the Ulchi Exercise training, which will be conducted for four days from August 18 to August 21.

He emphasized the need to thoroughly prepare for internal training on wartime organization, missions, and other matters related to the transition to wartime structure during the Ulchi Exercise. He also stressed that employees dispatched to wartime operational organizations should actively participate in the training under the supervision of the responsible departments.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of strengthening preparedness by closely cooperating with relevant agencies such as civil, government, military, police, and fire departments, and by conducting continuous training and simulations to ensure effective response to emergency situations.

Lastly, he called for the reinforcement of public service discipline during the summer vacation period, including disaster situations.

During the recent heavy rainfall, there were instructions from the President to strictly address the laxity of public officials in disaster situations, as seen in the inadequate response to torrential rains in Guri and Sejong.

Furthermore, this is a time when it is more important than ever to establish strict public service discipline in order to prevent incidents such as loss of dignity, violations of duty, and neglect of emergency or on-call duties that may arise from the relaxed atmosphere during the summer vacation period.

In this regard, Governor Cho stated, "From July 14 to August 21, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Gyeongnam Province, and the county inspection teams are conducting special inspections. All employees must thoroughly strengthen public service discipline to ensure that no violations occur."
