The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 4th that it will hold both online and offline exhibitions and hands-on events under the theme "The Light of Korea Illuminated by Science!" until the 31st of this month. These programs, which combine science and history, are designed to reflect on the significance of Liberation and to foster pride in science and technology.

On the 15th, which is Liberation Day, the museum will offer free admission to all permanent exhibition halls, including the main building, the Children's Science Hall, and the Artificial Intelligence Hall. Until the 31st, a touring exhibition titled "The Story of Yun Bonggil's Independence Movement" will also be held. This exhibition, organized in cooperation with the Independence Hall of Korea and the Maehon Yun Bonggil Memorial Hall, will showcase related artifacts such as a replica of a canteen-shaped bomb, a pocket watch, and footage of the heroic deed.

Until the 17th, the exhibition "Independence Activists Met Through AI" will be available. Using photos of independence activists such as Yu Gwansun, students have recreated videos, which are then brought to life using artificial intelligence technology to present them with a modern touch. On Liberation Day, there will also be hands-on activities such as face painting, a special exhibition titled "The Amazing World of the Brain," and the distribution of Taegeukgi keyrings.

On the museum's social media channels, a comment event commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation will continue until the 15th. Those who leave comments supporting Liberation and science and technology will be entered into a drawing to receive Naver Pay gift certificates.
