Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Holds 'Summer Gwangbok Festival' at Gwangalli Beach

20,000 Participants Celebrate the 80th Liberation Anniversary
Black Eagles Air Show and Taegeukgi Flag Performance Draw Attention

The Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Namil Lee) announced on August 4 that the 80th Liberation Anniversary Independence Culture Festival, "Summer Gwangbok Festival: Shouts Towards the Light," was successfully held on August 2 at the waterfront stage of Gwangalli Beach in Busan.


This event was held in conjunction with the nighttime running event "Night Race in Busan," which attracted over 20,000 participants. Various programs took place, including a Black Eagles Team air show, a large Taegeukgi flag performance, a chorus of independence army songs, performances by singers and DJs, and the screening of a promotional video commemorating the 80th anniversary of liberation.


Side events also received positive responses from participants, such as the "Shout for Korean Independence" decibel game, Bobo and Taegeukgi tattoo experiences, and the "Yeogibohun" photo certification event on the Busan Patriots and Veterans Affairs Office's event website.


An official from the Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs stated, "It was a meaningful time to share the light of patriotism and the significance of liberation blooming over the sea with citizens, marking 80 years since liberation." The official added, "We will continue to strive to spread a culture of patriotism that can be felt in everyday life."
