Scheduled to Reopen After One Year
Promises Better Services for Consumers and Sellers
On August 4, Oasis, a fresh food delivery company, announced that TMON, the e-commerce platform it acquired, will reopen on August 11. This comes one year after TMON temporarily suspended its business in July of last year. It is also about two months after the rehabilitation court approved a rehabilitation plan on June 23, which included Oasis’s acquisition of TMON.
Currently, with the reopening date confirmed, TMON is officially informing its partner sellers of related matters. As previously promised, TMON will proceed with contracts for affected partner sellers at an industry-low commission rate of 3-5%.
TMON is introducing a next-day payment system to actively support sellers’ cash flow and is working on structural improvements to stabilize its distribution network. Through these changes, TMON aims to restore trust with sellers and transform itself into a sustainable, mutually beneficial platform. Consumer events related to the reopening are in the final review stage, and the schedule and details of these events will be announced later through official channels.
A TMON representative stated, "We are doing our utmost to prepare so that both consumers and sellers can receive better services with this reopening," and added, "We ask for your interest and anticipation for the reopening of TMON."
Last year, when TMON was under Qoo10 Group, it shocked the market by failing to pay settlement funds to sellers on time. At that time, TMON’s unpaid settlement claims amounted to 1.2 trillion won. Subsequently, TMON was successfully acquired by Oasis through an M&A before the rehabilitation plan was approved. The acquisition price was 11.6 billion won. Last month, Oasis also decided to invest an additional 50 billion won to expedite TMON’s normalization.
