The Lee Wongil Humanism Award was established by the Catholic University of Korea in 2013 to honor the life of the late Lee Wongil, who practiced lifelong respect for humanity and love for neighbors based on Catholic humanism, and to widely promote his spirit. The award is open to individuals or organizations that have put humanism into practice in their lives and contributed to society.

The winner in the adult category will receive a plaque and a prize of 50 million KRW. Last year, the award was given to the organization 'Marianne and Margaret,' which has consistently supported single mothers for 10 years, assisted a women's dormitory in Cambodia, supported an orphanage in India, and provided scholarships for marginalized groups.

Nominations can be submitted by sending a recommendation letter and supporting documents by email or mail, as detailed on the Lee Wongil Humanism Award website. The winner will be announced on the official website in September, and the award ceremony will be held at 5:00 PM on October 30 at the Francis Hall of Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul.
