E-commerce and Global Expert Appointed
SKIN1004 and Others Aim to Become Overseas Distribution Hubs
Gudae Global announced on August 4 that it has appointed Jeon Hangil, former CEO of Gmarket, as the new CEO of Craver Corporation. This appointment is a strategic decision aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of its global beauty distribution platform and accelerating the expansion of its K-beauty ecosystem.
Jeon Hangil, during his tenure as CEO of eBay Japan, successfully established K-beauty in the Japanese market and grew the business in Japan by approximately four times over three years. He is also recognized as a platform expert, having led e-commerce innovation projects such as the launch of Shinsegae Group's integrated membership 'Shinsegae Universe' and the introduction of hyper-personalized services at Gmarket.
As the new CEO, Jeon will lead the advancement of Craver's online B2B beauty platform 'UMMA' and the global network expansion of the brand SKIN1004. UMMA is a platform that supplies more than 180 domestic cosmetics brands to global buyers, providing fast delivery services based on local logistics hubs and supporting the overseas expansion of beauty brands.
Craver became part of Gudae Global last year. The beauty brand SKIN1004, with its 'Madagascar Centella' line, has become a global bestseller, ranking among the top in the sun care category on Amazon in the United States. In 2024, it recorded sales of approximately 280 billion KRW.
Jeon Hangil, the new CEO, stated, "Craver possesses the core distribution platform 'UMMA,' which connects the global success of K-beauty, and 'SKIN1004,' which leads the global growth of K-beauty. By operating these strategically, we will enhance platform competitiveness and accelerate the expansion of our global network."
