On August 4, Ansan City announced that it had recently approved a 'proposed amendment to the Siwha MTV district unit plan' containing these changes during a review by the Urban and Architectural Joint Committee.

A city official explained, "The expansion of permitted facilities is in response to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 'support measures for the legal use of residential-type accommodation facilities' announced in October last year."

The amended district unit plan allows the establishment of facilities for children and the elderly, such as daycare centers and senior welfare facilities, within the 478,345-square-meter Ban Dal Island Siwha MTV district unit plan area, located at 837 Seonggok-dong, Danwon-gu. As a result, the construction of these facilities is now possible, which is expected to improve residents' convenience and enhance the residential environment.

The city plans to finalize the decision on the district unit plan amendment and announce the topographic map notice within this month.

Lee Minguen, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "This amendment to the district unit plan will serve as an opportunity for Siwha MTV to develop into a future-oriented space with multiple functions," adding, "We will continue to actively pursue urban planning to improve the quality of life for citizens in line with changes in the city."
