DB Hitek Q2 Operating Profit Up 10% on Rising Power Chip Demand

Sales Reach 337.4 Billion KRW, Operating Profit at 73.9 Billion KRW
Utilization Rate Recovers to 90% in the First Half
"Second Half Expected to Maintain a Level Similar to the First Half"

As demand for power semiconductors increases, DB Hitek's operating profit for the second quarter rose by 10%.


On August 4, DB Hitek announced that its consolidated sales for the second quarter were provisionally tallied at 337.4 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 73.9 billion KRW. These figures represent increases of 13% and 10%, respectively, compared to the previous year. The operating profit margin was recorded at 22%.


Regarding the second quarter performance, the company explained that the expansion of demand for power semiconductors had a positive impact, and that sales increased in application areas such as telecommunications, automotive, and industrial sectors.

A DB Hitek representative stated, "The utilization rate in the first half of the year recovered to the mid-to-high 90% range, and in the second half, we expect to maintain a similar level despite uncertainties. Going forward, we plan to continuously secure a foundation for business growth by strengthening our technological competitiveness centered on our main product, power semiconductors, while also focusing on the promotion of new businesses."


DB Hitek is scheduled to hold a corporate briefing session to announce its second quarter business performance for domestic institutional investors over two days, August 4 and 5.
