This year marked the 10th anniversary of the event, which was organized by the Appropriate Management Committee and the Infection Control Committee. The week featured a variety of programs, starting with the Patient Safety and Infection Control Week Proclamation Ceremony, followed by the Patient Safety and Infection Control Grand Rounding, Initial Consonant Quiz Event, Patient Safety and Infection Prevention Short-form Contest, Epidemic Infectious Disease Response Training, and the QI Interim Report Meeting.

In particular, the "Initial Consonant Quiz," designed to enhance communication with patients, used keywords related to patient safety and infection prevention to attract participants' interest and served as an effective opportunity to spread a culture of patient safety. In addition, practical programs such as epidemic infectious disease response training, hand hygiene quizzes, and personal protective equipment donning and doffing checks were conducted in parallel, strengthening the infection control capabilities of staff.

Furthermore, improvement activities based on patient safety incidents from 2024-2025 were displayed in the first-floor lobby, sharing real-life cases from the field with staff and visitors. This showcased the results of improvement efforts and provided an opportunity to raise awareness about patient safety.

Lee Gwangjae, Director of Daedong Hospital (specialist in endocrinology), stated, "Patient safety and infection control are core values directly linked to the trustworthiness of medical institutions and are the most fundamental principles that hospitals must uphold. The small actions of each staff member come together to create a safe medical environment, which ultimately plays a significant role in protecting the health of patients and the local community. I hope that everyone will practice patient safety with a sense of responsibility as medical professionals, and I will actively support these efforts so they can continue. We will continue to work hard to create a patient-centered safe medical environment and to fulfill our responsibility for the health of the local community as Daedong Hospital."
