First in the Series to Feature Voice Playback
The LEGO Group announced on August 4 that it has launched the adult set "LEGO Transformers Soundwave," themed after the iconic Decepticon character from Transformers.
This new product was developed in collaboration with the global toy company Hasbro and features Soundwave recreated with a total of 1,505 bricks, capturing both its appearance and functions. The completed model can be transformed between robot and cassette player modes without disassembly. For the first time in the LEGO Transformers series, it is equipped with a voice playback feature.
The robot's major joints, including the shoulders, elbows, and legs, can be freely moved to create a variety of poses. The set also includes buildable figures of Ravage and Laserbeak, Soundwave's loyal minions, which can each transform into cassette tape forms and be stored in Soundwave's cassette compartment. By pressing the brick shaped like a play button, Soundwave's signature lines and sound effects are played.
After assembly, users can vividly recreate action scenes using exclusive accessories included in the set, such as the rocket pod, laser blaster, and darts. A nameplate engraved with Soundwave's stats and the famous line "Soundwave superior" is also provided to enhance the display value.
The new product is available for purchase at official LEGO Stores nationwide, both online and offline.
