The 2nd Citizens' Integration Committee of Yangsan City, Gyeongnam, has shown further development through its activities in the first half of 2025, contributing to the advancement of the local community.

As a 'voluntary committee,' it not only holds monthly subcommittee meetings but also actively engages in field activities, following the belief that answers can be found on-site.

To ensure in-depth discussions, the committee aims to reach conclusions within two meetings. It also conducts field visits to places such as Hwangsan Park, Park Jesang Hyochung Park, Baekjo Bridge, the Naewonsa Temple access road, the parking lot of the Woongsang Culture and Sports Center, the Woongsang Welfare Center for the Disabled, local commercial districts in Wondong-myeon and Sangbuk-myeon, and participates in city tours. These activities are carried out alongside the drafting of proposal management cards, which are used to systematically track the progress of proposals on a quarterly basis.

These efforts have been instrumental in generating practical and actionable proposals. Both citizens and executive departments have a positive perception of these initiatives.

As the 2nd committee enters its ninth month since launch, it has held a total of 48 meetings. Through focused discussions related to 'Yangsan Visit Year 2026,' each subcommittee has proposed proactive policy ideas since January of this year, achieving tangible outcomes such as the implementation of the Yangsan Stamp Tour.

A regular meeting to share these achievements is scheduled for the second half of the year. The committee expects to receive feedback on its ongoing activities and to set future directions, aiming for even better results.

Park Wonhyun, chairperson of the Citizens' Integration Committee, stated, "The 2nd committee is addressing local issues more effectively through open discussions and a variety of field activities, which is highly encouraging for the committee's growth and progress. We will continue to seek diverse ways to contribute to the development of the local community together with citizens and strive to bring about meaningful change."
