"University Planners" is a planning group operated by Namyangju City, organized so that young people can propose creative ideas for city administration and participate directly in municipal affairs.

This general assembly was held to review activities from the first half of the year and to establish plans for the second half. The event was structured to explore the direction of activities for the second half, consisting of three parts: Part 1: Activity report and planning for the second half; Part 2: Special lecture and empathy talk; Part 3: Harmony program.

On August 2, Mayor Joo Kwangdeok delivered a special lecture titled "Three Things University Students Must Do," advising, "This is the most important time for determining the direction of your life," and encouraged students to "focus on trying various things and taking on challenges, building sincere human relationships, and developing your own good habits."

He especially added warm advice and encouragement as a senior in life, saying, "Just as the phrase 'survival of the fittest' suggests, I hope you will diligently record your daily life with the attitude that only those who document survive."

During the following "empathy talk" session, Mayor Joo engaged in candid conversations with the university student members through a free question-and-answer exchange, sharing his philosophy on city administration as well as personal life experiences. The students not only deepened their understanding of municipal affairs but also formed a strong bond by sharing concerns and advice about their career paths.

Mayor Joo Kwangdeok said, "It was a very meaningful time to communicate directly with the young people who will lead the future," and added, "I will continue to meet with young people often, share realistic concerns, and actively reflect their voices in city policies."

Meanwhile, the University Planners are scheduled to continue various activities, starting with mentoring programs at local children's centers in August and hosting the citizen-participatory cultural festival "Fall in Nuz" in September.
