Woman in Her Twenties Suddenly Dies with 26 iPhones Attached to Her Body... What Happened?

Shortness of Breath on Bus... 26 iPhones Found Attached to Body
Police Investigate Possible Links to Smuggling Organization

A woman in her twenties died in Brazil while having 26 iPhones attached to her body. Authorities are currently investigating the case, considering the possibility of smuggling.

On July 31 (local time), the Daily Mail and other outlets reported on the incident, which occurred in front of a restaurant in Guarapuava, a city in central Paran?, Brazil.

At the time, the victim was traveling on a long-distance bus from Foz do Igua?u to S?o Paulo. When the bus stopped at a restaurant, she complained of difficulty breathing and collapsed. Mobile Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) personnel responded to a call from restaurant staff at the scene and attempted emergency treatment, but the woman exhibited seizure symptoms and ultimately died.

During the emergency response, multiple packages were discovered attached to various parts of the woman's body. Inside these packages were 26 iPhones, all directly affixed to her skin. Several bottles of alcohol were also found in the woman's bag and were confiscated by the police.

Police dogs were deployed to detect drugs or other illicit substances, but no prohibited materials were found. The police have not disclosed the woman's identity and are analyzing CCTV footage and interviewing related individuals to determine the circumstances of her death.

Authorities have not ruled out the possibility that having mobile phones attached to her body for an extended period contributed to her death. The exact cause of death will be determined through a future forensic examination.

Local police have transported the deceased's body to a forensic institute and handed over the confiscated mobile phones to the federal tax authority to investigate possible smuggling. Police believe there is a high likelihood that this case is related to an attempt to illegally import electronic devices and are also investigating possible connections to organized groups.
