Two Keywords That Shook the Democratic Party Convention: "Success of the Lee Jaemyung Administration" and "Judgment on Yoon Sukyeol's Insurrectionist Party"

Party Leader and Supreme Council Candidates Speak with One Voice
"We Will Lead the Lee Jaemyung Administration to Success"
"We Must Uproot the Insurrectionist Party"

At the Democratic Party of Korea's national convention on the 2nd, the slogans calling for judgment on President Lee Jaemyung and former President Yoon Sukyeol received the most enthusiastic response from attendees. Park Chandae and Jung Cheongrae, candidates for party leader, as well as Hwang Myungseon, candidate for supreme council member, presented blueprints for leading the Lee Jaemyung administration to success and emphasized the need to hold former President Yoon and the People Power Party accountable.

During the policy speech at the Democratic Party's national convention held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, Park stated, "We must ensure the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration. In the era of Lee Jaemyung, we must fight and work together so that Lee Jaemyung can remain by our side." He continued, "I believe this is the way to repay the debt of failing to ultimately protect the era of Roh Moo-hyun." Park emphasized that the debt of not being able to protect the late former President Roh Moo-hyun should be repaid by ensuring the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration.

Jung, who suggested chanting Lee Jaemyung's name three times during his policy speech, said, "There is no victory without struggle, and no stability without victory. I will take on the fight, so President Lee can focus solely on his work." He added, "I will handle the difficult, tough, and confrontational tasks. The glory of cooperation, integration, and restored politics will be credited to President Lee." Jung pledged to take on the burdensome tasks of struggle, while attributing the achievements of cooperation and political restoration to President Lee.

Hwang remarked, "Today marks two months since the launch of the Lee Jaemyung administration, and a great transformation is underway. State affairs are being normalized, and previously severed diplomatic relations are being restored one by one." He stressed, "We must ensure the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration."

Regarding former President Yoon, Park argued, "Yoon Sukyeol has been ousted, but the remnants of rebellion and the cartel of vested interests hiding behind him remain intact." As the immediate past floor leader, he also said, "I have been at the center of the fight, including the passage of the impeachment motion against Yoon Sukyeol, the special prosecutors for Kim Keonhee, Chae Haebyeong, and the end of insurrection, the National Assembly investigation, the proposal of the 'Special Act on the End of Insurrection,' and the accusation of the three main figures of the presidential election coup."

Jung, who highlighted his role as an impeachment prosecutor during Yoon's impeachment process, stated, "President Yoon has been dismissed and sent to Seoul Detention Center, but the insurrection is not over yet. We must uproot the insurrectionist party." He added, "I have proposed an amendment to the Constitutional Court Act that would allow for a party dissolution request through a National Assembly resolution and Cabinet deliberation. We must cut off the roots of the insurrectionist party."

Hwang, identifying the first mission of the ruling Democratic Party, said, "We must swiftly and decisively deal with the insurrectionist party. Kim Moonsu, Jeon Hangil, and Yoon Sukyeol must be held accountable. Shouldn't the National Assembly Members' Office Building also be completely cleared out?"
