Former President Moon Jae-in visited Daeheungsa Temple in Haenam County, Jeonnam, where he studied for the bar exam, during his summer vacation.
According to Haenam County, Jeonnam, on August 2, former President Moon and Kim Jung-sook visited Mihwangsa Temple on Dalmasan Mountain and Daeheungsa Temple on Duryunsan Mountain, respectively, starting from the previous day.
Daeheungsa Temple is where former President Moon studied for the bar exam in his youth. The Dongguk Seonwon meditation hall inside the Daegwangmyeonjeon Hall later became known as the "Moon Jae-in Study Room."
After visiting the study room where he prepared for the exam, former President Moon said, "Haenam is a place that brings peace of mind," and added, "I chose it as my summer vacation destination because I hope many people can experience the beautiful culture and nature of Jeonnam Province together."
It is reported that former President Moon and his wife plan to travel to Haenam as well as Wando, Shinan, and Gangjin during this year's summer vacation.
