The center, which first opened in Seokjeong-dong in 2021, is a two-way educational institution that provides English and multilingual education for local residents, as well as Korean language education for multicultural families and foreigners. The center has also enhanced citizens' access to languages by offering various community-based programs such as the World Language Festival and the Visiting Center initiative.
In line with its reopening, the center plans to operate the 'Korea-China-Japan Anseong Youth Camp' in connection with Anseong's East Asian Cultural City project. This camp is a program designed for local youth, offering preliminary Chinese and Japanese language education and facilitating language and cultural exchanges with youth from Huzhou and Macau in China, and Kamakura in Japan.
Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong, stated, "I hope the center will become a key institution in realizing Anseong's vision as a global city that communicates with the world," adding, "We will spare no effort to support all citizens so they can pursue their dreams without language barriers."
