Global Launch in Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and More
Smilegate announced on August 1 that it has officially launched the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Lord Nine" in nine Asian countries.
Developed by game company NX3 Games, "Lord Nine" began service on July 31 in Asian regions including Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos.
The game was first released in Korea and Taiwan in July of the previous year, where it achieved commercial success. Upon its domestic launch, it ranked first on both Google Play and the Apple App Store within six days. Additionally, it received the Excellence Award at the "2024 Korea Game Awards" and won the "Best Immersive MMORPG" category at the "APAC Awards 2024" hosted by global app market analytics firm Sensor Tower.
Han Jaeyoung, Director at Smilegate Megaport, stated, "Even before the launch, we could sense the high level of interest in Lord Nine through the reactions of local users both online and offline," and added, "We will continue to deliver the fun of Lord Nine in the global market by providing content and operational strategies tailored to the play styles of users in each region."
