Jeonju City to Support Youth Language Test Fees

Reducing Economic Burden for Youth...
Support for 19 Types of Language Exams Including TOEIC

Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province will implement the '2025 Youth Language Test Fee Support Program' from August 14 to 21, 2025.

According to the city on August 1, this program is a pledge project of the 8th popularly elected mayor of Jeonju, aimed at helping unemployed youth strengthen their competitiveness and reduce financial burdens. It has been operated annually since 2023. This year as well, the city plans to provide test fee support to young people who have taken language proficiency exams.

The eligible recipients are unemployed youth (born between 1985 and 2006) who have their resident registration in Jeonju from the date of the test until the announcement date of the program. However, those who are enrolled in employee health insurance or who hold a business registration are excluded. Support is available for 19 types of language tests taken between October of last year and July of this year.

Applications are accepted online through Jeonju Cheongjeongjidae, the Jeonju Youth online platform. After completing the application form, applicants must upload the following documents: a copy of the resident registration, language test attendance confirmation, language test payment receipt, health insurance qualification certificate, proof of business registration status, and a copy of the bank account.

The city will review whether applicants meet the eligibility requirements and plans to announce the selected recipients in early September. Support will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis within the budget limit. Further details can be found in the announcement on the Jeonju City website.

Kim Eunju, Director of Population and Youth Policy, said, "We hope this program will help reduce the financial burden for young people preparing for employment and provide practical support for capacity building and self-development. We will continue to discover and implement various policies tailored to the needs of youth."
