Tabelog is a restaurant review platform that provides information on approximately 880,000 restaurants across Japan. It offers detailed information such as interior photos, actual food images, and reviews written by local users. Users can search for restaurants by region, type of cuisine, popularity, or rating, making it a frequently used platform not only for locals but also for Korean travelers visiting Japan.

Naver Place provides Japanese restaurant information by integrating Tabelog's data. Users can search for lists of popular restaurants in major Japanese travel destinations, such as "Osaka gourmet spots," or search by the name of a specific restaurant to view detailed information including location, menu, price, photos, business hours, payment methods, and available facilities. Information that was previously difficult to find through search, such as whether children are allowed or if simple payment methods are supported, is also displayed in Korean.

The service also supports reservation integration for select restaurants. For restaurants available for reservation via Tabelog, users can click the "Make a Reservation" option to be redirected to the reservation page provided by Tabelog and complete their booking directly. In the initial phase of integration, the reservation link feature will be available primarily for popular restaurants in major areas such as Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, and Fukuoka. Naver plans to gradually expand the range of restaurants offering reservation services by the end of the year.

Japanese restaurant Place listings are also displayed throughout Naver's travel information service and integrated search results for Japan travel. At the bottom of search results for specific restaurants, a "recommendation block" is provided, offering information on nearby tourist attractions or similar restaurants.

Choi Jihoon, Head of Search & Content at Naver Place, stated, "This partnership with Tabelog is a strategic decision to enhance the Place search experience specifically for Japan travel," and added, "We plan to further develop our service so that users can easily and comprehensively explore a wide range of Japanese restaurant information through Naver Search and Place services, allowing them to enjoy an optimized travel experience."
