Sports Marketing Event Celebrates BBQ's 30th Anniversary
For the first time in 15 years since 2010, the prestigious Spanish professional football club FC Barcelona has visited Korea and will field its top members, including Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal, as starters in a friendly match against FC Seoul.
On July 31 at Seoul World Cup Stadium, Barcelona will line up Lewandowski, Yamal, and Raphinha as the attacking trio for the 2025 Asia Tour Edition match against FC Seoul.
In midfield, Pedri, Dani Olmo, and Frenkie de Jong will take their places. The four-back defense will consist of Alejandro Balde, Ronald Araujo, Pau Cubarsi, and Jules Kounde, with Joan Garcia as goalkeeper.
Facing them, FC Seoul's starting lineup includes Jesse Lingard, a former Manchester United and England national team player. Lingard will join Cho Youngwook, Moon Sunmin, and Andersson in the attack. In midfield, Jung Seungwon and Lee Seungmo will play. Yazan, Park Suil, Jung Taewook, and Kim Jinsu will be responsible for defense, while Kang Hyunmoo will guard the goal.
This match is part of a sports marketing project presented by the chicken franchise BBQ to celebrate its 30th anniversary. BBQ has invited about 30,000 spectators to this match.
Additionally, a large card section performance called 'I Love BBQ (I♡BBQ)' will be held, with about 50,000 participants including supporters from both FC Seoul and FC Barcelona. There will also be an on-site lottery event during the match to commemorate BBQ's 30th anniversary, offering a 'Chicken Pension' prize.
