The Wacheon-myeon Youth Association of Gyeongsan City (President: Jang Heeseok) hosted a free movie screening event called "A Refreshing Summer Movie Outing" on July 31 at Hayang Megabox (765 Daegyeong-ro), inviting 100 local senior citizens.
This event was organized so that the seniors could take a break from the ongoing heatwave, escape the sweltering weather, and enjoy a pleasant cultural experience in the cool environment of a movie theater.
Jang Heeseok, President of the Wacheon-myeon Youth Association, said, "We prepared this event to give the seniors a special memory in a cool movie theater during the hot summer days," and added, "The Youth Association will continue to work for the happy leisure time of our seniors in the future."
One of the seniors who attended the movie said, "It's usually difficult for me to enjoy cultural activities, so I am grateful for this opportunity," and continued, "I truly appreciate and feel reassured by the Wacheon-myeon Youth Association for organizing such an event for us despite their busy schedules."
Min Jungki, head of Wacheon-myeon, expressed, "I deeply thank the Wacheon-myeon Youth Association for their warm dedication to our seniors, and I hope this event brought great joy, even if small, to our seniors."
Meanwhile, the movie screened that day was the newly released "Zombie Daughter," which premiered on July 30. It is a comedy-drama film starring Cho Jungseok and Lee Jungeun.
