Learning Protocols Essential for International Exchanges
Such as Attracting Global Companies and Hosting International Organization Conferences
Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on the 31st that it had conducted training on international protocol and global manners for its employees at the Goyang City Naeil Dream Makerspace on the 30th to strengthen the global competencies of public officials.
This training was part of the "Visiting Glocal Learning Center" project by the Governors Association of Korea, aimed at enhancing the global competencies of local government officials and fostering an international exchange mindset.
Through this lecture, more than 40 Goyang City officials learned about global standard protocol and manners necessary for hosting international guests.
The city is actively engaged in international exchanges related to attracting global companies and institutions as part of its efforts to designate an economic free zone. In addition, it is continuing active participation through international organizations such as the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI).
In particular, the 10th UCLG Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC) Congress is scheduled to be held at KINTEX in Goyang this September. To ensure the successful hosting of the congress, the city plans to continue providing training to strengthen employees' international exchange mindset and global competencies.
