Korea Expressway Corporation and National Nakdonggang Biological Resources Center Jointly Promote Traffic Safety Campaign During Vacation Season
As leading public institutions in the Gyeongbuk region, the two organizations plan to share their resources to maximize the effectiveness of public interest campaigns.
Korea Expressway Corporation will set up a traffic safety promotion booth at the National Nakdonggang Biological Resource Center's exhibition hall, while the Resource Center will promote its own exhibition and educational programs at both directions of the Mungyeong and Seonsan highway rest areas. The core of this collaboration is an interactive program targeting families visiting during the holiday season.
In particular, during the "2025 The Resource Center is Alive" event, which will be held from July 31 to August 3, Korea Expressway Corporation will screen traffic safety animations and host customer participation events.
If drivers verify a driving score of 75 or higher on Tmap, Hyundai Bluelink, Kia Connect, or similar platforms and pledge to drive safely, their children can participate in a dart game. Practical prizes such as children's umbrellas, portable fans, travel neck pillows, and bottled ice water will be provided.
The "2025 The Resource Center is Alive" event will take place at the National Nakdonggang Biological Resource Center's Saengmul Nurigwan from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering both daytime and nighttime programs. A variety of hands-on activities promoting the value of biodiversity will be available free of charge, and a strong response from family visitors is expected.
A representative from Korea Expressway Corporation stated, "During the summer vacation season, traffic volume surges, and accumulated fatigue from long-distance driving increases the risk of accidents." The representative also urged, "If you feel drowsy or tired while driving, please be sure to take a break at a rest area and pay special attention to safe driving."
This campaign is viewed as a meaningful initiative that goes beyond simple promotion, as it simultaneously highlights the importance of traffic safety and environmental and biological conservation through collaboration between public institutions.
