On July 31, during the “Liberty Conservative YouTube Alliance Debate”?jointly hosted by conservative figures such as Jeon Hangil, Ko Sungguk, Sung Changkyung, and Kang Yongseok?Jang said, “This is a malicious frame used by the left to attack us, and now it is being used to divide us.”

Regarding his relationship with the pro-Han (pro-Han Donghoon) faction, Jang stated, “I used to work politically with former leader Han, but now we have parted ways.” He added, “During the martial law and impeachment crisis, I opposed the impeachment of former President Yoon Sukyeol. With only 108 seats, we could not impeach the president we ourselves had elected.”

He continued, “Those who do not fight in unity against the Lee Jaemyung administration have no reason to stay in our party,” and pointed out, “Because we have not taken firm action on such matters, the party has continued to be divided, and the fate of the party has been decided by less than 10% of its lawmakers.” He emphasized, “Regardless of faction, I believe strong measures are needed against those who do not join the unified front.”

He also criticized other party leadership contenders Cho Kyungtae and Ahn Cheolsoo, saying, “When the party was in trouble, they consistently acted in opposition to the party’s stance and habitually voted against the party line.”

Regarding allegations of election fraud, Jang said, “If I become leader, I will create a public forum to hold an exhaustive debate on the issue of election fraud.”

Additionally, concerning the “Yoon Again” movement (which seeks to bring former President Yoon Sukyeol back to office), Jang said, “The spirit of strengthening liberal democracy has grown stronger since the martial law period,” and added, “If I become leader, I will firmly uphold this aspect of the ‘Yoon Again’ movement.”

He remarked, “Some say we should sever ties with former President Yoon Sukyeol, but I do not understand what further separation is being demanded,” and added, “If there is any illegality or unfairness in the trial process, as party leader, I will speak out clearly.” Jang also said, “Currently, visits to former President Yoon are restricted, but if I become leader and visits are permitted at an appropriate time, I will visit him as party leader.”
