AI-Based Smart Control
Aiming to Transform the Domestic FMS Market Paradigm
Thinkware announced on July 31 that its mobility map platform development subsidiary, Inavi Systems, has signed a strategic partnership with Geotab, a leading global connected car solutions and fleet management system (FMS) company.
Geotab is a global connected car solutions company headquartered in Canada. It operates more than 4.5 million connected vehicles in approximately 160 countries worldwide, including North America, Europe, and Asia.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to launch a next-generation fleet management system service that combines Geotab's connected car devices and cloud-based data analytics platform with Inavi Systems' map engine optimized for the Korean landscape and AI TMS (Transportation Management System) integration technology.
Specifically, they plan to provide an advanced AI FMS integrated platform to the domestic market, including insurance and driver risk analysis based on driving habits, energy efficiency analysis, and real-time route optimization in response to traffic conditions. In particular, they aim to go beyond simply distributing devices by establishing a cloud-based SaaS (Software as a Service) vehicle operation management service, thereby expanding optimized solutions across various industries.
An Inavi Systems representative stated, "This collaboration goes beyond a simple technology partnership and marks the full-scale commercialization of intelligent fleet management services optimized for the Korean market," adding, "By combining global technological capabilities with local data, this will serve as a turning point to diversify technology standards and reshape the platform ecosystem in the domestic FMS market."
