“When Life Gives You Tangerines” Schedule Announced... International Streaming Festival Reveals Global OTT Awards Ticket Opening

The Korea International Streaming Festival (co-chaired by Kim Bokgeun and Kim Sungcheol) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency have jointly announced the ticket opening schedule for the “2025 International Streaming Festival” Global OTT Awards.


The Global OTT Awards, held during the 2025 International Streaming Festival, is an expanded and reorganized version of the “ACA & Global OTT Awards,” which was previously held in conjunction with the Busan International Film Festival in 2023 and 2024. This year, the event will feature 14 competitive categories and 5 special invitation categories, highlighting achievements in content, creators, and technology across the global OTT industry. Leading figures from around the world are expected to gather for the occasion.


The awards ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. on August 24 at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center. Tickets can be reserved through Melon Ticket starting at 8:00 p.m. on August 6. The event, which combines a red carpet, awards ceremony, and celebratory performances, is set to capture the attention of both domestic and international fans. At this year’s ceremony, “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” one of the most talked-about titles of the first half of the year, received the most nominations, being shortlisted in six categories: Best Creative, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Leading Actress, and Best Supporting Actor and Actress. “World of Street Woman Fighter,” “Unknown Seoul,” and “Good Boy” have also been nominated and will compete for awards.


Nominees for Best Leading Actor include Berik Aitzhanov (“4°C”), Baek Kyungjung (“Nanhong”), Park Bogum (“Good Boy”), Nattarat Nopparattayapon (“Mad Unicorn”), Ju Jihoon (“Severe Trauma Center”), and Sakaguchi Kentaro (“Things That Come After Love”).


For Best Leading Actress, the nominees are Park Eunbin (“Hyper Knife”), Baek Rok (“Buksang”), Park Boyoung (“Unknown Seoul”), IU (“When Life Gives You Tangerines”), and Hirose Suzu (“Who Saw the Duke’s Dance?”).


The competition for Best Supporting Actor and Actress is also fierce. The nominees for Best Supporting Actor are Wang Chenyuan (“Bleach”), Wu Zhenyu (“Variable King”), Oh Jungse (“Good Boy”), Bando Ryota (“Lion’s Hideout”), and Choi Daehun (“When Life Gives You Tangerines”). For Best Supporting Actress, the nominees are Zhong Xinling (“Spotlight Is Mine”), Moon Ki (“Yi Injiha 2”), Ono Machiko (“Lion’s Hideout”), Jang Youngnam (“Unknown Seoul”), and Yum Hye-ran (“When Life Gives You Tangerines”).


The “2025 International Streaming Festival” will be held from August 22 to 25 at the Busan Cinema Center and Paradise Hotel. Centered around the Global OTT Awards, the festival will also feature an investment showcase, Media & Brand Day, International Streaming Summit (OTT & FAST), OST concert, and series screenings, creating a platform where content, technology, and culture converge.
