Global Logistics Sales Expert
Expected to Contribute to the Advancement of Business in the Americas
LX Pantos announced on July 31 that it has appointed David Bang, a global logistics sales expert, as its head of the Americas region.
David Bang is a logistics sales specialist with approximately 30 years of experience at major global logistics companies such as DHL and Hellmann. He served as CEO for 14 years at LifeCoNex, a bio-pharmaceutical logistics company jointly established by DHL and Lufthansa Cargo, where he is credited with elevating DHL's cold chain management solutions to an industry-leading position. Most recently, he was Chief Commercial Officer at JAS Worldwide, a US-based logistics company, overseeing sales and marketing strategies across more than 50 countries worldwide.
The appointment of David Bang is part of LX Pantos’s strategy to strengthen its business in the Americas and accelerate global growth. He will be responsible for the entire Americas region, focusing on the strategic market of the United States, as well as Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina. He will lead efforts to acquire new customers and drive business expansion.
Recently, LX Pantos has designated the United States, the world’s largest market, as a strategic region and is accelerating its business expansion there. The company established ‘Boxlinks’, a joint venture with ONE (Ocean Network Express), the world’s sixth-largest shipping company, to enter the US intermodal (multimodal transportation) business. LX Pantos is also actively expanding its infrastructure, including the acquisition of a large logistics center in Georgia, a logistics hub in the southeastern United States, equivalent in size to 43 soccer fields.
Lee Yongho, CEO of LX Pantos, stated, “The Americas region is a key market in our company-wide global growth strategy. We expect that bringing in David Bang, who has extensive experience and leadership in the global market, will be a crucial turning point as we strive to become a top-tier global logistics company.”
Meanwhile, LX Pantos has also recruited Kim Youngsang, who has 29 years of global air logistics experience at Korean Air, as the new head of its Air Business Division. Kim Youngsang is expected to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of LX Pantos’s air logistics business.
