GS25, a convenience store operated by GS Retail, announced on July 31 that its "Sauvignon Lemon Blanc Highball," launched on July 17, surpassed 300,000 units sold in just about two weeks, making it the top-selling product in the highball category.

The Sauvignon Lemon Blanc Highball is a product that Chef An Sungjae evaluated as the best-tasting after sampling various highballs. Subsequently, Chef An participated as the official model for the product, featuring in a variety of content such as tasting review videos and snack pairings through GS25's official social media channels and his personal YouTube channel.


This product overtook the "Jim Beam Highball," which previously held the number one spot in GS25's highball sales. With the rising popularity of the Sauvignon Lemon Blanc Highball, GS25's highball sales increased by more than 90% compared to the same period last year during the two weeks since July 16.


Analyzing the customer base, 70% of buyers were in their 20s and 30s. Customers in their 40s accounted for 14%, indicating broad appeal across all age groups. By gender, 64% of customers were women and 34% were men, suggesting that the relatively low alcohol content and subtle wine-based flavor are particularly popular among female customers.


Yoon Jiho, GS Retail's liquor team merchandiser, stated, "We will continue to introduce differentiated alcoholic beverages tailored to customer preferences and lead trends in the highball market."
