On this day, Director Namil Lee personally visited two households of elderly national merit recipients living alone, carefully checking their health and cooling environments. At the site, items to help overcome the heatwave, such as fans and summer blankets, were delivered, and veterans' families were advised on summer health management and safety.
The Busan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs has designated July and August as intensive management periods for vulnerable groups and is making every effort to prevent heatwave-related damage. The office has also strengthened safety checks and emergency support systems using care personnel, further reinforcing the safety net for veterans during the peak heat season.
Director Namil Lee stated, "We will continue customized on-site inspections and supply support to ensure that national merit recipients do not suffer in the heat," and added, "We will do our best to eliminate welfare blind spots and create an environment where veterans' families can feel secure."
