Handover Ceremony Held at the Holy See on the 29th
The Archdiocese of Seoul, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Holy See, has installed a new Korean-language audio guide at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. A handover ceremony to commemorate this occasion was held on the 29th (local time) at the Holy See.

The ceremony was attended by Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, Vicar General for Vatican City, Bishops Lee Kyungsang and Choi Kwanghee of the Archdiocese of Seoul, Monsignor Jung Yeonjeong, Rector of the Pontifical Korean College in Rome, and Lee Jungwoo, Charg? d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Holy See.
The audio guide features the voice of actor Cha Seungwon, who volunteered his talent. Both the embassy and the Archdiocese of Seoul collaborated in the production and advisory process. The newly produced Korean audio guide was planned in line with the renewal of exhibition and information content at St. Peter's Basilica and will be officially available starting August 1.
Cardinal Gambetti stated, "This collaboration among the Holy See, the Archdiocese of Seoul, and the Embassy has yielded excellent results. Through the provision of this audio guide, Korean Catholic faithful and pilgrims will be able to experience St. Peter's Basilica in a richer way."
Bishop Lee Kyungsang said, "We are pleased that the Archdiocese of Seoul could participate in this audio guide project. We hope it will be of practical help to many Korean pilgrims."
Charg? d'Affaires Lee Jungwoo remarked, "It is an honor to see the results of this project, which has been underway since last year. We hope the Korean-language audio guide will be of great help to Korean tourists and Catholic faithful visiting the basilica."
Meanwhile, the installation of this audio guide is expected to significantly improve accessibility and convenience for Korean visitors to St. Peter's Basilica.
